SRB Control — Pilot & Field Development
- Formulation and optimization of biocide solutions targeting SRB activity.
- Focused on reducing H₂S generation, microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC), and iron sulfide formation.
- Designed for produced water systems, injection water, and surface facilities.
Current Status
- One successful pilot study completed with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) targeting SRB control.
- Ongoing second pilot program in collaboration with KOC, focused on further performance optimization under field conditions.
Sulfate (SO₄²⁻) Reduction from Seawater
In parallel with SRB control, work is underway on chemical and mechanical solutions aimed at sulfate reduction from seawater used in oilfield injection and utility applications.
- Development of formulations to reduce sulfate availability, supporting long-term souring control.
- Designed to integrate with seawater injection and treatment systems.
- Pilot project under preparation with KOC focusing on sulfate removal performance and operational compatibility.
